For my birthday back in March I received a gift card to Crate and Barrel. We decided to buy a rice cooker. Let me tell you - it is the best thing ever! I completely love it. It steams, cooks rice, and is a slow cooker. I can throw a whole bunch of good things in there and dinner is ready when I walk in the door. I should have bought one of these sooner!
In other news Tom and I went to a gardening workshop over the weekend. We learned a lot and we even decided to test our soil which I found to have no nitrogen in it which means not good for growing tomatoes. I'm waiting to hear back from a nursery to hopefully will help us solve this problem before we need to plant.

How easy is it to clean the rice cooker...I doubt it's dishwasherable.
